Palaiokastritsa

Corfù Palaiokastrita bayPalaiokastritsa (Greek: Παλαιοκαστρίτσα meaning Old Castle place, referring to nearby Angelokastro) is a village in the North West of Corfu.

Corfu has been suggested to be the mythical island of the Phaecians, and the bay of Palaiokastritsa to be the place where Odysseus disembarked and met Nausicaa for the first time.

Alternatively, if is is full, anchor in the N bay, taking care of the rocks near the entrance to the port.

Most provisions can be found, numerous tavernas, bars, hotels ashore.
