It was the bay and the main village of Kalamos until the earthquake of 53, which stopped the spring water , and forced the inhabitants to move to the current Kalamos town. Now has been restored only the church where once a year there is a religious ceremony

Is possible to moor in the south side of the bay in 7/8 metres preferably taking a line ashore, sandy bottom , or on top of the pier in front of the village in 10/12 m. or in the N side of the latter; excellent refuge from the prevailing wind.
