One of the most picturesque and cosmopolitan places in northwestern Greece, the “Bride of Epirus”, the beautiful Parga challenges you to experience up close its long history, its diverse natural beauty and hospitality of its inhabitants
Though a few yachts prefer the more eastern of the two bays on account of easy access to the town, it is far more comfortable during normal fine weather conditions to anchor in the sandy western bay (Ormos Valtou).
Here in the NW corner, there is a small craft harbour where you can mooring to the end of the breakwater. Depths are 4.0 – 5.0 metres and the holding is good in sand and weed, good shelter from the prevailing NW winds,, although a swell enters at night. The bay is open S and any fresh to strong winds from that direction make it untenable
