Preveza is a commercial harbour and tourist hub, with a marina, 3 boatyard (Aktion),  many clubs, taverns and cafes, benefiting from its proximity to the nearby Aktion Airport.

Warning : From distance the buoys marking the narrow channel are difficult to see .Often you can meet a current in the  channel, sometimes as much as 3 knots.

Go stern or bows-to or alongside the town quay, the bottom is mud, good holding, good shelter  from the prevailing NW wind but  with SE it can be uncomfortable and may become untenable in a gale.

Winter 2015 : Water and electricty points are being installed.

On Aktion to the N of the old ferry pier are three boatyards : Cleopatra, Ionian and Aktion marina. All have water, electricity, showers and toilets, workshop and other facilities.
